WA in a Crime spree !!
Perth has been the centre of tragedy and crime news for the past 2 days. Today an INNOCENT mother has been killed and her teenage daughter injured after police ran a red light during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle today.

The accident happened when police was chasing the stolen Audi and went through a red light and hit the Toyota Corolla travelling south through a green light on Alexander Drive at 11am. This accident claimed the life of a 50-year-old Dianella mother and left her 16-year-old daughter who is seriously injured in hospital.
The car was later found by the police only to be found set on fire and abandoned by the person who stole it . Under the WA Police urgent duty driving policy, officers are not allowed to drive or engage in a pursuit that exceeds 140km/h. They must also have prior permission from the Police Operations Centre duty inspector and be an approved pursuit driver.

Man plunges from Hotel window and dies after police siege
In another incident at Perth CBD today a man who had gone hysterical and was being handled by a police negotiator, stepped through the window of the Novotel Langley and fell to his death, from 12 floors up.
The commissioner reported that TRG officers fired three beanbag rounds at the man and deployed a Taser to subdue the man. Seconds later, the man plunged through the window.
Police will compile a report for the State Coroner, as a separate internal investigation will probe the police actions during the incident.
According to media reports , witnesses said “There was loud male screaming, one shot , then two quick shots and flashes, then he fell from window. The man was said to be setting things on fire in the hotel room.It is understood that shortly after police broke into the room, the man fell from the window resulting in his death.
Spate of armed robberies across Perth
Police have arrested and charged a man over a spate of armed robberies that happened across Perth yesterday, including three carried out yesterday in the western suburbs.
The 33-year-old man who was caught on camera and aired on perth TV stations , used a gun in the hold-ups and was responsible for armed robberies yesterday at the Captain Stirling Hotel , a Caltex service station in Nedlands, as well as the attempted armed robbery of a student near the University of WA.
He continued his crime spree with an armed robbery at a Caltex service station in Scarborough on Tuesday morning and another armed robbery at a BP petrol station in Morley.
